Water ablation treatment for BPH now on NHS

A new treatment for prostate enlargement called water ablation is now available through the NHS.

There are 2 types of water ablation procedure. To shrink and enlarged prostate gland, water or steam is injected into the prostate gland via the urethra. The pressure of the water or steam destroys a predetermined amount of the prostate tissue therefor shrinking it.

Side effects are minimal and, while not suitable for everyone, it provides another tool in the armoury.

Waiting lists for water ablation are longer than preferred at the moment due to a lack of trained consultants but this will improve as time goes by.

Another alternative is to try our Prostamax with refined beta-sitosterol, the UK’s best selling and most effective alternative therapy for the treatment of BPH.
